Litracon™ introduces the phenomenon of light-transmitting concrete in the form of a construction material offering many possibilities.

Litracon™ is a combination of optical fibre and concrete. It can be produced as bricks or prefabricated panels. Due to the fact that it is thin, optical fibre is an integral part of concrete and this creates a homogenous aggregate both within its structure and on its surface.

Optical fibres conduct light through the thickness of the material. Thanks to their parallel alignment, the light-transmitting information remains unchanged between the illuminated and the non-illuminated side of the brick. The most interesting part of this product is perhaps the interaction of shadow puppets which appear on the panel when it is exposed to a source of light. In addition, the colour of the light is the same on both sides of the Litracon block.
